Your bins
Your bins
It is important, and cheaper, for your business to recycle as much of its waste as possible
We provide a full commercial waste collection service for:
- Recycling
- Food recycling
- General waste (anything not currently recyclable)
Use the guide below to find out what goes in which bin:
Recycling
We collect recycling in green or purple bins, which includes:
- food tins, drink cans and aerosols
- paper and cardboard
- plastic bottles, pots, tubs and trays
- glass bottles and jars
- cartons
- plastic bags, clean film and wrapping
Food recycling
Your food waste will be turned into high-grade soil-improver, used by domestic and agricultural customers, closing the local food loop.
We will collect on as many days of the week as you require.
What you can put in your food bin:
- all meat, fish and bones (cooked or raw)
- bread and pastries
- tea bags and leaves, coffee grounds
- spillages
- fruit and vegetable peelings
- dairy products
- plate scrapings
- sink strainer scraps
General waste (anything not currently recyclable)
General waste is collected in blue or black bins. Most non-recyclable commercial waste can be put into these bins, except heavy or dangerous substances such as rubble, clinical or electrical waste.
Short of storage space?
If bin storage is a problem, we can discuss providing a different bin size or providing you with recycling and waste sacks.
Skips
We can provide large roll-on, roll-off 13 cubic metre skips, open or enclosed as required by arrangement. These can be used for either recycling or refuse as you need.
Battery disposal
Please ensure you have a separate electrical waste/battery collection, batteries are not to be disposed of with general waste. Incorrect lithium ion battery disposal may cause fires endangering the public and waste collection crews.
